Turn school emails into calendar events you have checked

Plancove helps you bring school dates into your iPhone’s Calendar after reviewing them against the message. It also helps organize the tasks around those dates, so the permission slip does not disappear behind the event.

Get the date out of the email without losing the context

An event title and a date are a useful start. Before adding them, check the child, the location, and what the time actually means. “Coach leaves at 8:15” is not necessarily the same as “arrive at school at 8:15.”

With Plancove, the message is the starting point for a reviewed plan:

  1. Share or forward the school email.
  2. Check the event details and any proposed tasks against the source.
  3. Approve the items you want to keep.
  4. Allow Calendar and Reminders access if you want approved items there too.

Put the event and the preparation in the right places

Illustrative example: fictional class-performance notice.
The class performance is on Thursday 22 October at 2 p.m. Please return the audience booking form by Monday 19 October. Children should bring a plain black T-shirt on Thursday.

Black T-shirt required ThursdayRequired item; preparing it Wednesday evening is a parent-reviewed suggestion

The date belongs on the calendar. The form needs an earlier action. The T-shirt needs to be ready before you leave home.

Use your iPhone's calendar, without connecting your inbox

Calendar permission and mailbox access are different. Plancove can write approved items through your iPhone's Calendar and Reminders permissions without connecting to your email account.

The destination is your default calendar or reminders list. If that calendar belongs to a Google or Exchange account configured on your iPhone, that account receives the entry. This is not a promise of a separate Gmail integration or two-way Google Calendar sync.

Questions about calendar entries

Are events added without my review?

No. Check and approve the proposed items before saving them.

Can I use Plancove without calendar access?

Yes. Keep the plan in Plancove if you do not grant Calendar or Reminders permission.

What if the event moves?

Share the school's correction and review the update. Check the event and its related preparation, rather than assuming every date in the original message has moved.

Add the date. Keep sight of everything around it.

Start with the next school event in your email.
