About Plancove

Plancove is an iPhone app for parents and caregivers that turns school communications into a plan for each child. This page is the plain statement of what it is, who makes it, what it costs, and how it treats your family’s information.

What Plancove is

Plancove is an iPhone app that reads a school message you share with it and proposes a plan: the events, deadlines, payments, things to bring, and routine changes the message contains, each assigned to the child it concerns and linked to the words it came from. You review every proposed item against the original before it is saved. The saved plan is shared with your household, and any item can be handed to a named person.

It is a planning tool, not a mailbox and not a school platform. It does not connect to your email account or to the school. It works only on the messages you choose to share or forward.

Who it is for

Parents and caregivers of children at nursery, preschool, or school, and in particular households where more than one adult needs the same plan, where there is more than one child, or where school messages arrive faster than anyone reads them. Accounts are for adults; children do not use the app. Schools do not need to know it exists.

• Emails, shared from a mail app or forwarded to your family's private Plancove address
• School newsletters, in the body of an email or as an attached PDF
• PDFs, such as trip letters and permission forms
• Screenshots and photos of paper notices
• Web links to a page the school has published
• Notices from a school app, shared with its share button or as a screenshot
• Text pasted directly into the app

What comes out

• Events, with their date, time, and the child they concern
• Deadlines for forms, permission slips, replies, and bookings
• Payments and the amount due
• Things to bring, wear, or pack
• Pickup, dismissal, and closure changes
• Preparation steps scheduled in the days before an event

How it works

1. Send it to Plancove. Tap Share on an email, screenshot, photo, PDF, link, or school-app notice and send it to Plancove. Or forward the school's emails to your private Plancove address and let them arrive on their own.
2. Find what actually matters. Plancove identifies dates, deadlines, payments, forms, items to bring, pickup changes, and preparation steps, and shows you where each one came from.
3. Your plan. Your final say.. Review every detail against the original message before saving. Anything unclear is flagged for you to confirm, never guessed silently.
4. Know what's next. Keep your family plan clear, shared, and ready for school-day changes, with reminders that arrive before things are needed, not after.

What it can do

• Reads a shared school message and proposes plan items, each linked to the words it came from

• Keeps a separate plan for each child, with one item able to belong to several children
• Shares the plan with a co-parent or caregiver and lets any item be assigned to a named person
• Adds approved items to the iPhone's Calendar and Reminders
• Sends reminders before something is needed, in your timezone
• Updates the saved item when the school sends a correction, instead of creating a duplicate
• Shows a daily brief of today, tomorrow, what is due, and what goes in the bag
• Exports or deletes all family data from Settings

What it does not do

• It does not connect to your mailbox or to the school; it only sees what you share or forward
• It does not reply to the school, submit forms, or make payments
• It does not run on Android, iPad, the web, or a desktop
• It does not offer two-way sync with Google Calendar or a separate Gmail integration; approved items are written to the iPhone's default calendar and reminders list
• Extraction can miss or misread a detail, which is why every item is reviewed before it is saved

Facts at a glance

Platform and availability

Plancove runs on iPhone, on iOS 26.0 or later, and is distributed only through the App Store, where it is listed as “Plancove: School Planner”. There is no Android, iPad, web, or desktop version. Each release is written up on the what's new page.

How your family's data is handled

• Screenshots, photos, and PDFs you share are read on your iPhone; only their text is sent for extraction, and the file itself never leaves the device
• Email forwarded to your family's Plancove address is received and stored in full, including attachments
• Extraction is done by Anthropic's Claude API; the content is not used to train AI models
• Family data is stored with Supabase in Supabase's US East region (N. Virginia, United States), protected by row-level security so only members of your household can read it
• The app contains no advertising, attribution, or third-party analytics software, and your data is never sold
• You can export your family's data, or delete it entirely, from Settings at any time

Why it exists

The part of a school message that needs action is usually a small fraction of it, and it arrives mixed with everything else the school has to say, addressed to every family at once, in a mailbox that is also holding work and everything else. Plancove is built on four decisions that follow from that:

• Nothing is saved unreviewed. Extraction proposes; the parent decides. A detail the app could not confirm is flagged, never filled in with a guess.
• No inbox access. The app sees the message you chose to share, not the account it arrived in.
• A plan per child, shared by the household. One newsletter, read once, with each child's week kept separate and every adult looking at the same thing.
• Preparation before the day. The form, the payment, and the packing are scheduled ahead of the event, not on the morning of it.

Who publishes it

Plancove is published by SteerScale Consulting Ltd., a company registered in Hungary, which is also the controller of your personal data under the privacy policy. The app launched on Product Hunt in September 2026; that launch page and the App Store listing are the only official Plancove profiles beyond this website.
